Yahoo demanded that Facebook pay the license for use from 10 to 20 patents related to their advertising, news feeds, privacy controls, and instant messaging, according to a report in “The New York Times” published on Monday (27) ( go here ). The two companies discussed the issue on monday (27), when Yahoo claimed that Facebook has infringed 10 to 20  patents, according to sources in the newspaper.

“ According to the newspaper, the patents in question includes one of the first granted for Yahoo, according to people close to the company. In a statement, Yahoo said other technology companies have licensed some of the patents in question. The “New York Times” says that it is unclear how Yahoo could earn in an agreement with Facebook. After buying the company Overture Services in 2003 , Yahoo settled a battle that the company had with Google in 2004, receiving 2.7 million shares before the Internet giant opened its initial public offering. Yahoo Claims as the patents came after Facebook announced his plans for an IPO in which the company may be valued at $ 100 billion.
