Scientists develop computer software to ‘read’ thoughts

U.S. researchers have created a computer program that can analyze electrical signals emitted by the brain and “guess” words, according to article published in the journal “PLoS Biology”.

In the survey, people were given a list of words and the computer had to play the one who had been chosen by means of brain waves. Scientists stress that the system can be used to help patients who are comatose or having trouble communicating after the method is improved.
