PlayStation Network will become Sony Entertainment Network

Sony announced that it will change the network name of the PlayStation platforms, from February 7. The company will say goodbye to the current name PlayStation Network (PSN), making it part of Sony Entertainment Network (SEN). Changes little for the consumer, however, now the login is the same for various services of the company.

The statement was sent to users who have accounts on PlayStation Network. They were warned about the name change and the upgrade terms of service network to cover all clauses relating to changes and new services. If users do not agree with the terms, can no longer access their accounts.

Sony Entertainment Network will come into force for the PlayStation 3 and the company’s new portable, the PS Vita, but will not cover its predecessor, the PSP. Do not know if this is temporary or if indeed there is no intention of supporting the old laptop.

With this change, players can use their same login and password for the old PlayStation Network in services such as Unlimited Video, Music and Personal Space Unlimited (future PlayMemories Online), among others.
