Nokia has just come forth at MWC with a slew of announcement, one of them being the announement of Nokia 808 PureView camera phone.
Nokia gave few details of the specs and said that it would run a 1.3 GHz single-core processor along with 512 MB of RAM. Other features include,a 4-inch touchscreen with 640 x 360 pixel resolution and 16 GB of internal memory that can be expanded via microSD card up to 32GB.
The camera feature comes however at the expense of maneuverability: 18 millimeters in width, the camera measures monster at its thickest point.
The winning feature of the phone happens to be a 41-megapixel sensor that has been developed after years of research. Nokia says they managed to do so using an interpolation technique that packs 5 pixels into 1.
On the operating system, the Finns put on the in-house Symbian Belle. The camera phone is to come, according to Nokia in May at a price of 450 euros on the market.
