Many netbooks do not have the facility of an optical drive which means that in order to run your favorite movie or any other program which is available in the disc format. If you have a home or office network, another option would be to share the existing optical drive from your other computer so you could access it from a netbook that wat.

Hence it can be seen that though there is no clear winner in the netbook vs laptop tussle, if you know what all you want from your machine, the choice is not that hard to make.
