Apple confirms: iPad 3 will be released on March 7

“We have something that you really have to see. And play,” says the official invitation from Apple for the launch event of the new iPhone. The presentation of the new tablet will take place on Wednesday next week, March 7 in San Francisco.

 Earlier, before the official confirmation, the CNBC had already said via Twitter that Apple would launch its new iPhone next week, but at an event in New York City. The sources close to Apple who leaked this information  have also confirmed that the iPad 3 will be revealed with a quad-core processor and 4G LTE connectivity.Rumors about the latest Apple tablet have been fed since last summer, and especially after the death of Steve Jobs. With confirmation from Apple – and the hint given in the call itself – is also expected that the unit comes with a display ‘Retina’ with 9.7 inch display with resolution of 2048 × 1536 (above the quality required to play videos in FullHD).

The expectation in the world is huge to see what the company will present even more without its iconic creator, in the event when the new edition of the product is released. And beyond the screen, processor and connectivity, are also speculated an 8 megapixel camera, layout a bit thicker than its predecessor, with improved performance and battery.

Moreover, it is expected that the third generation of iPhone arrives in stores worldwide later this first half of 2012. As usual, however, Apple has not commented on the case.
